Army Institute of Management, Kolkata (AIMK) was established in July 1997 by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), New Delhi. Business India has ranked AIMK as ‘A’ Category B-School in India in 2007.

Course: MBA

Eligibility:

Bachelor’s Degree with 50% Marks in aggregate in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. Candidates completing all requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s Degree by June 2009 may also apply.

Intake:

Present batch size is 120 (80% seats for Army wards and 20% seats for General category)

Selection:

Applicant shall have to appear in Common Admission Test (CAT) to be conducted by IIMs on November 16, 2008. Candidates short-listed on the basis of CAT score will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview at AIM Kolkata for final selection.

(AIMK uses CAT score for shortlisting the candidates for two-year full time Post-graduate Programme in Management. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.)

Placement:

Full placement achieved in last three years. Highest salary offered Rs 6.51 lacs p.a. and average Rs 4.28 lacs p.a. in 2008.
